PARK AVENUE NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC STUDY & TRANSPORTATION PLAN

 

Project Overview:

 

The City of Aspen has contracted with JR Engineering to provide traffic engineering services and a transportation plan for the Park Avenue corridor and surrounding neighborhood.  The purpose of the study is to provide the City with solutions to integrate pedestrian access into the existing transportation network and eliminate the potential vehicle/pedestrian conflicts that exist in this neighborhood.  JR Engineering will work closely with the City and the residents of the Park Avenue neighborhood in this effort.

 

Elements of this traffic study and transportation plan will include: obtaining an inventory of existing pedestrian facilities, surveying and mapping of the roadways and other features, soliciting input from the Park Avenue residents and other concerned citizens, producing alternatives, and once a consensus has been reached, JR Engineering will generate preliminary plans of the preferred alternative.
