Office Surveyor - Centennial office 

JOB SUMMARY:


The person who fills this position is responsible for day-to-day production of drafting survey documents and coordination with the Survey Manager and the Project Manager in the planning and oversight of the project to meet budget and timeframe targets.  This person will perform survey work under state guidelines for various types of surveys; such as ALTA surveys, right-of-way plans, boundary surveys, improvement location certificates, drainage certificates and legal descriptions. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires self motivation and ability to understand and meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Preferred advanced technical survey knowledge.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Possesses mental flexibility to transition easily between graphic maps, written directions, and the physical environment.
  • Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Experience analyzing complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical and effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with AutoCad Civil 3D computer software preferred. Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office computer software knowledge is a plus.



EXPERIENCE:


  • 2-4 years of survey office experience.
  • L.S.I. preferred, but not required.

Construction Project Engineer - Centennial Office

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Provide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes
  • Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers and regulatory agencies
  • Measure and record pay quantities
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Review the Contractor's schedule
  • Labor compliance
  • Coordinate 3rd-party material testing inspections
  • Review and provide input on potential change order and design change issues
  • Maintain project records
  • Manage project photographic records
  • Verification of field surveys
  • Oversee junior staff

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
PE desired
Five to ten years directly related experience in roadway and utility construction.
Inspection certifications preferred (CDOT, ACI, APWA, RMAEC, CCA, RMAC)
Experience with regulatory agencies and familiarity with federal and state design processes desirable.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD a plus
Ability to coordinate with clients and review agencies.
Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.

JOB SUMMARY:

The qualified person will perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

The ideal candidate will conceive and develop solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures. Ensures that engineering work conforms to high technical and organization standards and meets or exceeds all contract requirements.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
  • Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multi-family developments and public works projects.
  • Assists in the preparation of calculations, such as storm drain, wastewater, water system, earthwork quantities, transportation, cost estimates and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.
  • Performs plan drafting using AutoCAD software.
  • Ensures the product ability of designs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


EXPERIENCE:


  • Recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT / FE license preferred.
  • AutoCAD, and associated design software.
