       JR Engineering

Project Manager (Colorado Springs):


Responsible for planning, budgeting and overall management of project or projects so as to produce aesthetically pleasing results which meet client expectation and return profits to the company.  Act as prime intermediary and communicator among company, clients and regulatory/review agencies.  Projects may include residential, commercial or industrial land development, private planning support, or public works initiatives.


Plans, organizes, coordinates and identifies project goals, timelines, resource requirements and cost estimates for client projects in cooperation with Director of Engineering.  Communicates this information clearly to client.
Interfaces with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, and other project representatives.
Ensures all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, are adhered to.
Maintains official project log and documentation files.
Ensure quality and accuracy of plans in accordance with standards of care of the industry.  Provide technical directions to all project team members.  Sign and seal all drawings.
Provide clear, articulate direction to all project staff, identifying goals, performance expectation, potential problem areas, general staffing assignments and profitability targets.
Supervise the production of project documents, regulatory communications and client interactions to ensure timely completion of project objectives within budgetary and timeframe constraints and milestones.
Review, evaluate, and negotiate terms with contractors, architects and planners; oversee work and resolve problems and conflicts.
Work with existing and potential clients during conceptual and creative project planning stages to ensure cost effective, environmentally sound, and aesthetically pleasing solutions to clients needs.
Provide needed communication/reports to designated corporate staff on status of projects versus targeted financial and client satisfaction goals.


Minimum of 10 years of experience in the civil engineering industry.

Office Surveyor (Centennial):


The person who fills this position is responsible for day-to-day production of survey documents; and coordinates with the Survey Manager and the Project Manager in the planning and oversight of the project to meet budget and timeframe targets.  This person will perform survey work under state guidelines for various types of surveys; such as ALTA surveys, right-of-way plans, boundary surveys, improvement location certificates, drainage certificates and legal descriptions. 


Requires self motivation and ability to understand and meet project requirements and deadlines.
Preferred advanced technical survey knowledge.
Strong mathematical skills.
Strong verbal/written communication skills.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Possesses mental flexibility to transition easily between graphic maps, written directions, and the physical environment.
Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.
Experience analyzing complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical and effective solutions.
Proficiency with AutoCad Civil 3D, Trimble, and Microsoft Office computer software.


3-5 years of survey office experience.
L.S.I. preferred, but not required.

Recent Civil Engineer College Graduate (Centennial):


The qualified person will perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

The ideal candidate will conceive and develop solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures. Ensures that engineering work conforms to high technical and organization standards and meets or exceeds all contract requirements.


Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multi-family developments and public works projects.
Assists in the preparation of calculations, such as storm drain, wastewater, water system, earthwork quantities, transportation, cost estimates and other supporting documentation for public and private projects.
Performs plan drafting using AutoCAD software.
Ensures the product ability of designs.
Other duties as assigned.


Recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
EIT / FE license preferred.
AutoCAD, and associated design software.
