JR Engineering serves as the District Engineer for the Reunion development. Reunion is a master-planned community covering more than 3,000 acres across northern Commerce City. The development includes a variety of housing types, commercial services, and employment opportunities in a combination of creative and stable arrangements designed to achieve a balanced community. The development was conceived by Shea Homes in the early 2000s, with Oakwood Homes taking over as master developer in 2017 with the intent to fulfill the buildout and vision for Reunion.

Infrastructure Construction Oversight

A critical component of the project involved JR’s construction management services to oversee the construction of all utilities, roadways, drainage, and landscaping infrastructure improvements for approximately 40 platted filings within the Reunion development. 

Construction Engineering & Contract Administration

Specific tasks included attending pre-construction and progress meetings, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, approving pay requests, reviewing change orders and inspection reports, preparing design and field change notifications, performing periodic construction observations, coordinating with the contractor and City, and managing construction closeout services.
