The Town of Erie's 2013 Water Master Plan highlighted the necessity for a 24-inch transmission waterline spanning approximately 25,000 feet in Zone 3. This waterline was to connect the Lynn R. Morgan Water Treatment Facility to two water storage tanks located near Sheridan Parkway and Weld County Road 4. To achieve this, the Town of Erie contracted JR Engineering to provide engineering, surveying, and construction management services.
Phased Waterline Construction
The project was divided into two phases for design and construction. A crucial component of Phase 2 involved overseeing the construction of the transmission waterline from Vista Parkway to the water storage tanks, ensuring the project met its objectives and standards.
Construction Oversight & Coordination
Specific tasks included attending pre-construction and progress meetings, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, approving pay requests, reviewing change orders and inspection reports, preparing design and field change notifications, performing periodic construction observations and inspections, coordinating with the contractor and Town, and managing construction closeout services.
