Schrader’s Country Store and Fueling – Larimer County

Schrader’s Convenience and Fueling is a 3.07-acre commercial property located on the south side of East Mulberry Street (Colorado State Highway 14 on the existing south Frontage Road in Larimer County; just outside of Fort Collins, Colorado and approximately ¾ mile west of I-25.  Schrader’s Oil retained JR Engineering to perform storm drainage analyses, land surveying, and platting, on-site and off-site design engineering including precise grading, drainage, and erosion control reports, horizontal control plans, sanitary sewer, water and storm drainage pipe designs, as well as the design of an Urban Drainage BMP grass buffer.  JR was able to create a comprehensive, fully ADA Accessible site with a water quality pond capable of releasing at a rate of the 2-year historic flow rate into the adjacent Lake Canal Ditch.  In conjunction with the Schrader's Country Store/Fueling Station, JR Engineering was asked to perform the final design for improvements that were to be made on Colorado State Highway 14 (Mulberry Street) within CDOT right-of-way.  JR Engineering worked in close coordination with CDOT’s Gloria Hice-Idler and other CDOT staff, Larimer County staff, ELCO Water, Boxelder Sanitation, The Lake Canal Company, and Schrader Oil and Gas to get the site CD’s and the CDOT Right-of-Way plans to widen the eastbound right turn lane off of Mulberry Street at Greenfield Court, extend the westbound left turn lane onto Greenfield Court and reroute the southwest Frontage Road for the subject project.  For all of this project’s CDOT improvements on Mulberry Street, JR Engineering produced approved construction drawings and platted CDOT Right-of-Way for the realignment of the Frontage Road.
