Town of Superior
JR Engineering prepared the design for the Marshall Road and McCaslin Blvd intersection project, a critical corridor in the Town of Superior adjacent to the economic center for the Town and adjacent to the US-36/McCaslin Interchange. The project scope included adding a dedicated eastbound through lane, roadway reconstruction and widening, traffic signal upgrades and partial replacement, irrigation line installation, landscaping modifications, utility relocations, and sidewalk/trail design including raised crosswalks in the intersection.
Project Funding & Agency Coordination
The project was funded by the Economic Development Administration, and also occurred within CDOT Region 1 and 4 jurisdictional boundaries along SH 170 which required heavy coordination with various State and Federal agencies.
Traffic Analysis & Engineering Design
JR Engineering was also tasked with traffic analysis and modeling, non-destructive signal testing, Subsurface Utility Engineering and survey, traffic control and phasing plans, environmental research and coordination, geotechnical evaluation, and CDOT clearance approvals.
JR provided critical insights to the Town and stakeholders to ensure everything was built to the various required standards and ADA requirements.
